Main things I’m missing now are a decent prop, ESC and motor mount.

Re “glass drywall tape” I can’t find that in my local stores, and there’s a bewildering array online. I used strong packing tape for my last foamie (euro fighter) and it worked fine but looked terrible. Any recommended options?

p.s - can’t believe I have to register now?! Ok it’s not expensive but c’mon.... A licence to fly a foam plane I made at home... Madness!

Packing tape works fine, it's the only thing I've used on my foamies. I tape it on both the top and the bottom so the two pieces of tape just touch on the hinge line.

Also, for the F-22 v1 make sure you keep your speed up; it doesn't like to fly slow because the vertical stabilizers don't get enough air and then you end up rolling/yawing to the side because of motor torque.

Thanks JTiger. I used packing tape on my previous foamie eurofighter - waaaaaaay back in c2005. Loved that plane but I couldn’t fly to save my life and it had a gutless repurposed motor + ESC from a cheap trainer plane to boot so it didn’t last long.
