Looks like that does a better job keeping the prop wash together for less turbulence?

Almost crashed it from laughing so hard.My wife at the field watching me said.''It looks like it's struggling to go up.Is the motor to small to push it up?''It worked out pretty good even though it's somewhat a ugly setup having two fins on the back angled in.

, she is probably right. I am no expert but it looks like a lot of drag.

Hi Guys, I know you are going to shout at me and tell me I'm missing the point ...but I love the F16 and nobody seems to have tackled it, so when Jay and Greg came up with the F16 MK2 I couldnt help myself. As always with FRC planes it flies like its on rails, and when its coming towards you it looks simply awesome! Thanks to you both for another fantastic plan

wow, this looks nice. didn't find a post in this thread where it was discussed, but how did you build the fuselage (transformation from profile to "real"). thx

Hi, I just built it up using layers of depron, used a knife to roughly shape then finished off with abrasive paper, hope this helps, cheers Paul

thanks. just one more question. so is the fuselage in that part nearly solid, because you said more laers of depron, and i am asking myself if there are stacked, one after another.
...or is it just a layer of depron and underneath its hollow (or at least with a small framework for support)

Jay and I are pleased to present our FRCFoamies F16 mk2 as
part of our Profile Series of parkjets!
...

...

This is the first of our Advanced Profile Parkjets. In the coming
weeks, check back in the FRCFoamies Profile Series thread:

http://www.rcpowers.com/community/threads/frcfoamies-profile-series-preview.18510/
for information on the next release! Including a real iconic American fighter jet with features that will give you goose bumps!

We'd like to thank our test pilots for testing and feedback on the final plans- especially Mark (Newt) who took our F16 mk2 to show at Flitetest! Look for their videos over the next few days!

-Jay and Greg

Hi Jay and Greg,
the "Buy now" button/link doesn't work. it just brings up the button as a picture if i click on it. Can you please fix the link or direct me on where to buy the F16mk2. I was looking for it here https://www.rcpowers.com/?forum=713118, but the mk2 wasn't there.
Btw, the link to the profile series thread is also not working for me.
I am glad that there have been heroes which took over this awesome forum, after Dave has quited. Thank you for that! i am also aware that this resulted in a move of the forum to another server. However, for a newbie it is hard to find the things, since there are a lot of dead links. Not every link can be corrected, but at least the most important ones as mentioned above.
Thanks.

I built the Vers 1 with the usual 2826 2200kv motor and was an absolute blast ..... but then motor decided to blow. I think it got grit inside and that caused the windings to give out.
I swapped to a Rare Bear motor of 1940kv and upped to a 6x5 ... but it seemed lacking on the 3S ... that 2500kv drop made a big difference ... so I shoved a 4S in her ... WOW !!

My Vers 1 has no rudder or ailerons - but she still does high alpha and slow stuff ...

I'll fly anything if I can launch it ! Youtube : solentlifeuk
