Could not stand not knowing if this ship could buck winds so I made the X31. I am in goods spirits but filled with trepidation in anticipation of it's maiden flight. If anyone has flown this plane and has any knowledge of idiosyncratic behavior inherent in the design and flight of this plane please give me all of the input you can. I am fearful only divine intervention will save this one from imminent fusion with terra-firma. thanx!

Looks good to me!
Your build looks Clean and slick.
Pray for calm days and no oak trees
And on the 8th day God said: "Go NAVY",.. and it was good! Pray like everything depends on God. Prepare like everything depends on you.

I feel like I missed out on this one trying2fly.

I’ve had the plans for a long time but never built it for some reason.

Hmmmm your build makes me want to take another look at this puppy.

Ian had the foresight of a clairvoyant when he warned me of the design being potentially susceptible to roll and being twitchy . I fought the motor torque when losing altitude....then one thing led to another until I landed about 15 feet off the ground. The build is easy but the flight characteristics are more demanding . In other words, my poor piloting skills coupled with the sun and winds made for a traumatic 60 secs or so!! You didn't miss much!!! Chas

Dumb the controls down for the ailerons...it is super twitchy if not. A lot of fun and quick to build....way quicker to nose plant for a learning pilot....I built it as one of my first builds and could not keep it in the air....it rolled too fast for me to stay ahead of....I revisited it a few years later with a few changes and more piloting skills...good luck...

I found exactly the same thing!!!!!chas
