I worked a bit more on my first design (a wing of course) Homey1. It's in the foreground. Still waiting to maiden my PFI Super Hornet and MJ YAK 130. Freaking winter!

Started a new Black Bloody Baron to replace the one I thumped on the last outing. Never can have to many combat planes.

Wild,
I downloaded the plans from Flite Test but not sure how to proceed exactly without using their power pod.

I looked at some of the build threads but thought they all sucked.

You should create a detailed, step by step Bloody Baron build thread so that old senile, Gator wrestlers can understand what to do or create the build thread wrong, therefore sabotaging my build and then laughing profusely as I Drill it into the ground

Pretty simple FBK. The plans are for their foam board which is slightly thinner then the 6mm Depron, I think theirs is around 5mm so the slots for width I just cut on the line if just a tad to the outside so it's a hair wider. The wing, vertical and elevator are as is along with the outside fuse pieces. They do double wall for strength for the side fuse pieces and so do I . Now the 2 inner side fuse pieces also support the top piece, you have to shorten the height by 1 or 2mm . They get laminated to the outside ones and just have to be 6mm shorter then the outside so the top piece sits flush topside. You don't need to cut the 4 notches in the side of the top piece as they are for the pod, there will be only the 2 that are in the center at the back for the vertical. The motor mount is 50mm wide with a tab at the bottom , see picture. I add a short bottom piece to help support the mount plus I glue some 3mm foam to the front inside. If you look at the planes beside the motor you see white foam. Where my hand grabs onto for launching I also added a piece inbetween the 2 rails for strength so I don't or can't squeeze the sides in. 2017_1126_181847_001.JPG  2017_1120_172624_004.JPG  2017_1017_193634_004.JPG  2017_1021_104551_001.JPG

Wild,

Ah, ok, thanks.

Hands?
Grab?

What hand, what grab? I didn’t do it!

Senator Al Franken is in big trouble for
“hand grabbing you know!

HE is truly a “Bloody Baron”!

Not sure I want to go there my Brother!

I'm in the process of building a dancing wings cub, first ever balsa and ply kit build but I'm really enjoying it. Here are a few pics of my progress. Going for the L4 scheme.

I built the Vers 1 of the DW Cub ... sold under their Elerc label ....

Here's my build of it on Wattflyer :

https://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70695&highlight=Cub

[HKJ3CubReadytogo16Aug20132_zps6a2a6421]

I ended up with 7x5 prop on 2826 1100kv + 3S 1300.

Never did find a good way to fix the windscreen .....

E-Flight Cub cowl is a good replacement for this and of course has the 'engine' bits ....  but hard to find now since they stopped production ...
