That's because you pretty much can't. I have the CB180Q (Airwolf fuse), and the more I fly it, the more I wish I had just gotten a coax. If flies faster sideways that forward it seems, and at speed, gets hard to control. At higher throttle, the inputs get squirrely (off-axis) because everything revolves around headspeed. Might be correctable w/a 3-servo setup, but i won't hold my breath. I'll probably just stick w/my CP heli's.

I had a CB180D and it would not do any fast forward flight at all....it hovered great..moved around ok..but it alwasy resisted doing anything going fast...so i sold mine....i saw the vid that xheli had posted on it when it came out and they showed it doing some more of that...but i'm skeptical...it's why i sold it and bought a Honey Bee V2...and it flies great...got a guy i'm freinds with on another forums who modded his a lot and is now doing loops with it!

That's a completely different heli from the CB180, bro. A much better one, I might add. The CB uses a motor and shaft on the tail rotor, and like most electric tails, it doesn't hold for squat. That one had a variable pitch tail w/a servo, like a CP heli. I couldn't listen to the video (sleeping kids), but I didn't catch how it drove the tail.

Exceed RC and Walkera are the same, but I dont' think that BlitzRCworks is even the same company. After seeing that review, I'd say it's a MUCH better heli than the CB180, even if it IS older.

Well fine, then. You obviously have the time to watch BH reviews - go get it and try it yourself. If you're just looking for a video, then try google. If you're looking for a FP decent heli to buy, then don't bother listening to those of us that have already owned one and offered our opinions - we must not know what we're doing.

the msrX should be apretty good fp heli. it should do fast forward flight because its flybarless.

Sorry too - I shouldn't have been so pissy with you either.

I just watched the 180D video, and I noticed that his fastest movement was diagonal. When you point the nose forward, the servo just doesn't get it up enough to move as well as it does sideways. Also notice, that he made the direct-drive tail mod pretty quickly too. The tail motor/shaft works for crap. Granted, I probably need to set up my gyros again to get her locked in, but after losing control in a light breeze (I goosed the throttle, and all of the inputs went off-axis) I would up crashing and I just put it away in disgust. The motor is barely powerful enough to recover from quick throttle adjustment when trying to save it too. A lot of folks upgrade to brushless and 11.1V, but that's a rather extensive mod - I'd rather just put the money toward a CP heli and be done with it.
