HI, guys! So i bought this model in the hobbyking sale around two years ago, put it together and its sat in the garage ever since. Last weekend was our clubs annual warbird meet and this was one plane that had to make an appearance. I have it fitted with a ASP.61 2 stroke motor, bigger than what is recommended but im glad i went with it. Bags of power and speed!! Here is the first couple of flights after it was run in.

VERY NICE !!

I have the FW190 in the '40' size ... but with an OS 70 FS up front.

One item that I found - the covering they use, a sort of self-adhesive vinyl has crept apart at seams when on flight line in the sun.

But they are cracking flyers ... basically because the wings are modified to give better flight as models.

Here's my FW190...

I seriously look at VQ other models as well .....
I'll fly anything if I can launch it ! Youtube : solentlifeuk

Wow, that landing!!!! haha. you can tell they are good models as a normal model would of stalled at that point. I also noticed the covering starting to peel slightly where it got wet with the oil from the fuel.

And that's why I keep my hands off this kind of models. That could easily have ended in a bad crash and caused heavy damage. I have no doubt I could fly them fine and bring them back in one piece, but I wouldn't wanna risk losing them to some unforeseen difficulties.

I know why engine cut out ... the bounce caused the fuel clunk in the tank to fly forward starving it of fuel.

My covering is fine with the fuel ... what appears to have happened along the centre line top in front of canopy - is the covering has wrinkled with heat and shrunk.

I have to admit - I should fly her more often to get used to landings etc. but yes ... I admit I am worried about crashing her ... as I get older - my flying 'ability' gets worse !! Depth perception is biggest problem.
