Very nice. I love the UMX's. They are my front yard planes. I have about the same amount of space as you in my front yard, except I am situated on the corner of a street. I have 2 UMX's. The Spacewalker , and the Radian, and a HH Sport Cub S. But I have been looking at the YAK, and the 2 UMX Bipes for a bit now. Want to add all 3 to the front yard stable.

The Yak is great, but sooooo light...Skeletonized DT foam covered in Saran wrap. I too like the Bipes...I got the yak for indoors, but on a windless day, I can take it out....I like the radian too...Just haven't jumped on it...Flying the mcpx heli has been my go-to as of late.

It really is. Its the one plane I sit in a chair to fly. The thing just glides and glides and glides.

You think that one is light, check out the Spacewalker. I think that might be the smallest of the UMX's, doesnt have as3x or anything, but doesn't need it. But its the most brittle plane I have handled yet. . Amazing how these things fly right? And yea, I meant front yard planes on windless days. I get a lot of windless dusks, where I dont quite want to go to the field. So thats when I fly my UMX's.

The Radian is NOT a front yard bird though. Needs some space. Really likes to go super high and glide till the cows come home.

Any experience with the umx whipit? I had a discus launch glider, but it wasn't high quality....I keep coming back to the whipit....

Ha, I dont have that issue wit thhe UMX Rad, I do however have that issue with the bigger HawkSky 2, sometimes takes me 4 or 5 go arounds to get it on the ground as it always stays up and overshoots my landing target. . This season, I am determined to learn some flap mixes to help with that. I have yet to fly my HK Walrus, but thats another tough lander from what I see.
