Looks like theres enough thrust for vertical. Did you try over open air as well? The table may have been acting as a blast plate and giving it more force. But ya that should fly straight up

No I have not, yet. but I have measured the power from each engine with 5x5 props. And got out 29 Oz (39 with 6x4) each. The aircraft weighs ready to fly 33 Oz. So it should be enough.

A quick way to determine if you have plenty of power is see where it basically hovers at. If the throttle is about half way you are all set. If 3/4 it will go slow when you release it. If full throttle, it will likely crash. I build a lot of scratchbuilts and that determines at what angle I launch it at. I usually launch between 30 and 45 for the initial flight.
