just curious on what speed controller people use?
and what is the difference in the 2 versions i noticed with plush you can get cards for but is there much difference in them...

The brushed is for a brushed motor. Meaning, not many people use these. Everyone now a days uses brushless motors because they are so much more efficient and powerful. The plush I've heard great things about. They cost a bit more than other ESC but the things is the plush are good quality.

and another question, am i right in saying if i went with the nano tech 4 cell battery 2200mah 4s 25c to 50c would i then need a 40amp speed controller?

The ESC is not chosen off the battery, it's chosen by the motor. The max amps the motor draws is the ESC you need to be looking for. So the micro jet v3 is rated for 20 amps. The ESC you want to look for is in the the 20 amp or more. And here's a tip on ESCs, go about 10- 20 amps higher than the max amps. This will ensure the ESC will not burn from over power. I use a 40 amp ESC on my mjv3 because I burnt the 20 amp
