It always feels good to resurrect an ole favorite and in my opinion.... it's good medicine.

It tells a story, it had been there with you. The dents, glue tracks, tape and blemishes are character lines and have earned the right to belong there.
Fly like your mad at it.

Yes it's also a great shock absorber. I've used Tomhe Typhoon plans previously that plane in the photo was a butted together quick job I did from what I learned from my first Typhoon which got mangled. May she rest in pieces.

She's a great plane. My Mig glides in the wind so well it's incredible. It definately pays to build light and if possible build separate nachelles to funnel the air stream towards the prop. Rock on.

Order the 6mm and 3mm cf strips. In a lot of areas like verticals and such the come in really handy. Verticals as a rule I do a score line in them. then just run the cf strip in the groove a few times to open it up just a hair. Lightly sand the cf strip, put some UHU Por in the groove and slide the cf strip in, add weight to keep flat. Using the 6mm then it's a cut all the way through , the only thing different is once I do the cut I run 1 1/2" masking tape down the cut line. Flip it back over and install the strip.

No epoxy, no mess, good strength except just lateral strength though
