probably not but the problems are with the torsional forces in the wings. instead of only flexing laterally left and right the forward tip also flexes up and down because of the air resistance, causing instability especially in the pitch axis.

hey gm3 check out my Su-47 as well as my Homage to Alexander Dultsev's Sukhoi Berkut PAK FA and see how well this config flies.
Here is the Dultsev Berkut's maiden flight controlled with just elevons in a 12 to 15 mph gusting to 28 wind.

Watch the maneuver at 6:00 . She is smooth flyer that is also quite responsive.

That thing flew great! You're really pushing the 47. I'll have to think about it

Not that I'm pushing it but I have discovered how, if done right the Su-47 is a blast to fly. I've turned enough of them into shards of foam to know. I leave you with my movie trailer homage to Alexander Dultsev's concepts for the PAK FA.

I built a modified version of Nick Cara's profile F-16 Falcon (I modified the engine nacelle trying to achieve a more rounded look) which flew well on elevons only.
Here is a flight video.

She flies differently than the Su-47 which flying even with just elevons I find more nimble than the F-16 Falcon. I think ailerons would improve the Falcons handling as she seems to me to struggle with just elevons.
I want to build another Falcon and use my new Grayson hobby 70mm ducted fan. But I'm in the midst of moving now and all my aeronort stuff is packed up.

Hmm... I had a great time with the Mig v1. I think i'll go with the nimble plane. The berkut seems like it's agile enough to fit in a small field. Do you have a 3d version?

I have designed and made a template of a "Five Easy Piece" Berkut with a 3d fuse but i have yet to build and publish it. I only have published the wing and nacelle templates to turn a RCPowers F-18 v2 fuse into an Su-47 Berkut. So you must already have the RCP F-18 v2 in order to build it. You also need to lengthen the nose with a cone of paper or fun foam to get the right Sukhoi proportions.
My 5EZP profile Su-47 is an easy build and makes a great flyer with a 2200kv motor like th Grayson Hobby MJv3 with a 6x4 prop.
Then theres my 5EZP Alexander Dultsev Sukhoi Berkut PAK FA. It is interesting in that it has only flown as an R/C model.

I did so in my first post on your thread in answer to your question.
