As many in the forum are UK based - they will know the Chris Foss WOT4 ... one of the most versatile, best performing Sunday Aerobat's there are ... a classic.

I have one that I fitted a 4250 650kv and 5S LiPo in .... WOW is best way to describe what this does ... unlimited vertical ... amazing.

Couple weeks back - I dragged her out from winter storage and she flew - but aileron servos were lazy and not centering well. So I got back home and swapped them out. Did a quick check and all looked good.

Easter Monday ... we have the Opening Meeting of our club with large attendance. Of course the WOT4 being a Brit model on Latvian soil is of interest ... I give it a quick check making sure ailerons centering ok ... up down .. left right ... etc.

I think you all know whats next ...........

Now I wait new power supply for my Laser Cutter to fabricate a complete new front end back to mid wing seat ... luckily I have a copy of Colin Ushers version of the Watt Four which will provide the templates ....

Kind of glad it's not just me that does that!
Binned my big hawk last year doing exactly that!
Whoever said nothing is impossible had obviously never tried slamming a revolving door...

I hate to see that happen.😣
I think this condition is linked to the missing car key syndrome.
Where`s me key`s has anyone seen my key`s, I`m gonna be late.
Yes they`re right there.
Where?
Right in front of you.
Oh yes🙄
It`s strange that the hat always get`s the blame though...... I thought for a nano second it was going to be the transmitter.

I wondered if anyone would notice the 'hat' .... I was so angry with myself ... I just instinctively knew as I started walking what I had done ...

The WOT4 is getting a complete new front end back to mid wing chord ... I'm adding about 1/2" (1cm) to the battery bay length to make easier getting that 5S in / out ... I can slide it back through the bulkhead to compensate.

If it was me in that situation with folks looking on I would have kept walking to that concrete hangar and try to demolish it with my bare head and you would have heard the swearing in Mongolia.
I usually laugh off my crashes as I tend to fly scratch built foamies on my own.
Having said that I bet I crash my new  Volantex Ranger 2000 now.

I didn't do too well that day ...

WOT4 smashed as above

MXS 3D machine went into the sun - lost all sight of her - next seen bouncing of the concrete runway ... (she's all fixed and flying again !)

Skymaster biplane burnt out its THIRD throttle servo !! Absolutely no logical reason for it ... now she has a high torque ba****d in there !!

This is a dreadful crash and I bet one of these motors is worth 3x more than my road car, but can you imagine the state of this poor bloke`s hat after this incident?
