Can anyone provide me with step by step instructions on how to
buddy box a dx8 to a dx5 radio.
The manual is not clear on this.
Thank you for any help you can offer.

This is very easy process. First off your DX8 will be your main radio , make your model bind to it , and test fly it. After this is finished in system settings of the model there is a trainer option. Activate it and make it master. Find a buddy cable between 2 radios - it is simple cable looking like mono headphones jack. Turn on DX8 radio and leave DX5 turned OFF - connect cable between them and DX5 will go ON . Then you test commands from DX8 radio, after that press the trainer button on DX8 and hold it - it is small red click button on the upper left side. During that hold you must have commands to DX5 - try moving sticks and so. This is all of it

Don't forget to dial in the master radio before you connect them.
The buddy cable allows both controllers to use the master radio's transmitter.
This means both radios need fresh calibration, don't skip any steps.

Yeah what they said but you have to go to the trainer settings in the radio and set it to "pilot link master"

If you were inside your plane... You would never crash.
