One thing to consider with rubber band vs screw is the width of the fuselage. The wider the fuse, the more stable it will be with rubber bands alone. The wing dragon is a pretty robust airframe so I can get away easily with no other reinforcement. I'm pretty rough with it as well and have never had a rubber band break on me.

I'll be bringing it into work with me on the weekend and hope to finish it then.

ok, dumb question maybe. I took the bottom half of the cambered wing, cut an angle on the bottom leading edge and then took the top half of the wing and cut an angle in the bottom of it's leading edge.

Then I took 1/4" dowel and ran it length-wise on the bottom wing 1.5 inches back from the leading edge and glued it down to reinforce the wing. Taped the top and bottom leading edges together and lay it flat, taped side down.

Ran a bead of glue along the inside of the leading edge and then folded it over and put a weight on it. once that dried I ran a bead of hot glue on the inside of the bottom wing and stuck the two edges together at the rear.

So the wing looks good except for 1 small detail.

The wing edges on the sides are open. Any thoughts on what would be the best way to close them in without making a major disruption in airflow over the wing? I have a few thoughts on it but I figured more heads are better than one so ...

Better question: Does anyone know what a cambered wing is?

i do...

you can fill the holes with foam..even if it is at an angle...post up a pic of the ends of your wing so we can see what you got going on..

I don't the means to post it here at work atm but I drew in paint what it looks like from the side and when you look at it from there, you can see clean through to the other side of the wing. I'm thinking of making a wingtip that's rounded off with a piece of foam acting like a peg to fit into the side of the wing myself... That or simply a flat cap over the end shaped to follow the contour of the wing...

Ok, I pretty much finished building the airframe and just have to put in the electronics. Video of the "empty" airframe is uploading to youtube now...
