Tick21
Hey, its Tick21, formerly known as BTick21. I couldn't remember my old password I took a 100% remote control hiatus for nearly a year, and was wondering what the major things I missed were, if anyone could fill me in, etc. Thanks guys!

Welcome back! Other than the v3 planes, did you know that Jay (Boxermad84) and I teamed up to put out a line up of plans for advanced pilots? We have many threads here, but check out
http://www.frcfoamies.com
Dave and Scott were kind enough to let us know that we are welcome here on rcpowers.

there are so many videos on this forum of the FRC Foamies planes as well and I'm sure once the V3 planes are sold individually there will be plenty more of them as well. other than that we found a new motor called an NTM Propdrive 2700kv motor from HK that is a monster compared to the SMJV2. it has changed alot of the planes around here. The F-18v2 the boxermad84 has he put this motor on it and he claims it woke the plane up...I have a su37 with two of them mounted on the rear with thrust vectoring... Love that motor!!!
Cuz tooling around is just not my style of flying. Full stick and full travel control surfaces.

Did you ever finish that monster of a bomber that you were working on a while ago?

no its still on the bench. I got so fr into it and decided to change the way I was building it. it was very fragile and I like to fly the wings off my planes so I thought I better come up with a stronger construction method. I have started on it but so busy getting ready for Boxermads fly-in and its over 100 degrees everyday now in florida so working in the garage is not an option... as soon as it cools off I will pick back up on it...

Oh, you missed it! I took him back to the airport yesterday! He's sleeping off a great week of flying and a trip to nyc! It was so good to have him here!

Hey all, I don't mean to cause a stir but am curious as to why frcfoamies are marketed on the rcpowers website considering Dave and Scott are in the business of selling their own pdf plans.

SteveD, our free plans are in the scratch build section except for 2 planes that we sell, which are in the "vendor" section as per Scott's request. If you look through the scratch build section you'll notice that many members have posted their free plans there as well. As we mentioned in the FRC thread, we do not consider ourselves competition for rcpowers. Rcpowers has a reputation for beginner friendly planes with lots of documentation and ours are intermediate to expert plans. Since Jay and I both are products of this excellent web site and forum, we know that we are here as long as Scott and Dave want us. So, it was our great honor that, in a recent conversation with Dave, he told us that he welcomes our involvement on the forum and he too does not see us as competition to the rcpowers plans.
