Ok tonight I am going to replace my TX (dx6) battery for the time being until my lipo from hobbyking comes in. I have a *new* 1000mah 9.6v nicad that I want to put in it (DX6) How do I go about doing this. Do I cut the connector off the stock battery and solder it onto the new nicad so I can put it into the TX or is there a better or faster way of switching out the battery. **this is the first time I will be replaceing a TX battery so please bare with me, if you know what I mean** Thanks so much!

the new battery does not have the proper connector on it? if not then yes you need to cut and solder if you are not planning on using the old battery...better to modify the battery than the radio...the Lipo you'll get from HobbyKing will have the proper connector on it..so you can just plug it in. Take a pic of the insdie of the radio with the battery cover off so we can see what connections you have.

I have now taken the connector off the old batt and I have put it on my new nicad and I plugged it in and so far I have gotten good results. All I need to do is charge it and see what happens. I just wanted to make sure I am doing this the right way.

nicads usually only have one plug..so you did what you had too....let me know if you have any problems...
