What a GREAT plane
Can't thank you enough for this plane. It was fun to build, looks great in the air and a blast to fly... What I really like about this plane is that it can scream by the expensive ducted fan jets and yet is able to coming in at a snails pace - even without power! Thanks again, Martin W Riley

Kits for the ez builds aren't available yet, according to Scott. He said he'd update the links when they became available.

Cheers,
Brian.

Hello I'm new to the foamies what glue is the best for Depron foam.
Also what battery charger do I need for the GraysonPower 1000HV 3S 7.4V Lipo Pack the one listed in the 'Everything you need' list?

Any LIPO charger will work. I have a Thunder AC6 that I like, along with a Hobbico MKII Quick Field Charger. The Thunder balances, where the Hobbico just charges.

BTW a 7.4V Lipo is a 2S pack not 3S (11.1V) That's a mistake on the title, as in the description it defines it as a 2S pack.

Receiver

Can I ask why the "Everything you need" list includes a transmitter but not a receiver? Assuming I need to buy a receiver, which one should I get from GraysonHobby (yes, I'm getting the E-book, but PayPal is really slow).

Thanks!

The 6 channel radio will normally include a receiver, I'll double check that the radio on that link does, and if it doesn't, I'll update the link with a radio that does include a reciever. Thanks for pointing that out!

Receiver for DX6i

Scott,

I checked if the DX6i transmitter comes with a receiver (at Horizon Hobby), and I found out that it does not. I'm now going to try and find a website where they sell both (transmitter and matching receiver). I'll let you know when I figure it out.

The DX6i is available with or without a receiver.

Edit: The link under "Everything You Need" does include an AR6200 Rx.

Oops

Thanks!

I just looked at the "compare" screen and it didn't mention it came with a receiver, so I assumed it didn't. Looks like I should have read a little more carefully.
So I'm just going to order the one with the receiver.

Thanks again!

Battery

I also noticed today (I've got nothing to do) that the list includes a battery, but not a charger. I know it's really obvious, but if a beginner (like me) orders everything on that list without really thinking it through, they might end up having everything they need, except some means of recharging their battery.

I happen to have a charger of my old heli, a Li-Po charger that can also do 3-cell 11.1V batteries, which is the same as the cheap one Dave has in the first Foamie-class video. I'm getting a 3-cell 1500 mah 11.1V battery. That should be ok for a while, right?

Thanks!

Yes, that charger will do fine! Thanks!

Could someone please tell me or suggest a cheap but good battery charger for the 2 cell battery that is listed in the recommended items list for the f-22. And Scott about how long until the kit will be available?
