“It shouldn’t be able to fly.”
That is exactly why I love the F-117. People think it shouldn't be able to fly.
It makes the biggest impression on people. Still on my "favorite fly" list!

“Very enjoyable to fly”
Everytime I fly it I enjoy it more and more. Not that it wasn't enjoyable or nor has it gotten easier to fly. (I thought it was very easy flying from the get go) It just seem to be such a nice flying plane that it is very enjoyable to fly. I have already said this before, but DAVE AND SCOTT WELL DONE!!!! I can't say it enough, two thumbs up and highly recommended.

“People gravitate to this plane”
This plane IS very satisfying! It looks like it shouldn't be able to fly- it looks alien! That's why people gravitate to this plane more than others when I bring out the planes. Once you master it you feel like you've accomplished a lot. Ok, enough of that, but seriously, it may not be as complex as other planes but it is more satisfying than most.

“We all loved the landings at my field”
When I first took it to my field everyone liked it. I even got asked if it was airworthy!
Doesn't look like a good flier but the maiden was great and it flies amazing.
It tracks like no other! Better than my other EDF jets.
I would point the F-117 and it would go straight as an arrow with absolutely no radio input. Amazing.
Landings where crazy too. I followed the advice here and approached with a little power, cutting only at the end and it just FLOATED vertically down a couple of feet and settled like a cardboard - crazy soft! It was cool, we all loved the landings at my field. Thanks for an awesome design Dave!

“This plane was a lot of fun!”
Woo-HOO!!! It finally flies! After adjusting the lateral CG (placing my 20A ESC on the centerline) and moving my battery back an inch or so, I finally got my F-117 airborne. It flew awesome! I'm used to the speed of my SMJ V2 on my F-22, but this plane was a lot of fun!

“It draws a crowd!”
The F-117 is one of the harder planes to fly but the most rewarding. And, it draws a crowd! People still can't believe it can fly! Good luck with it, and be sure that you have plenty of expo especially on the roll! I have CG almost 2 inches back from plan and it is a nice and neutral balance!

“Not as difficult as I thought”

“An attention getter!”
For the past couple weeks I've been flying in a field down the road as I get used to my F-117 V2 and F-22 V2. Don't like to fly in the neighborhood park until I know the plane. Last night I took both up at the park and one thing's for sure... the F-117 is an attention getter! I can do more trick flying with the F-22 (I high alpha’d across the neighborhood) but just circling with the F-117 drew more attention!

I have a dilemma now. I have the microjet v3, but only 2 cell batterys. Will this new model be OK for this power setup or do I go with the older smaller F-117?

I have a dilema too. I'm 80% finished with my v1. Do I finish it or start on v2?

I didn't think of that option. That's why they pay you the big bucks...

Yeah learn the flight characteristics on the V1 then fly the V2.

I have my v1 built since 3 months but never managed to fly it I know its my handlaunch the problem, I think I'm just afraid to toss it from the side... I think I will mount some light wheels, maybe I manage to take-off from the ground. But untill then, just building the F22, flying the X-31. Anyhow if I get to fly the v1 F117, maybe I will build v2, simply because its larger, and what is larger, is always better , anybody agrees with me on this?! Cheers, good luck everybody on their builds! Personally I would like to see also the F35 easybuild v2 maybe with full fuse, although I know that this would mean less air for the prop unless it is not "ducted prop"

The side arm toss does feel a little weird in the beginning but once you get used to it, it is really easy.
