Just watched part of this old movie and saw the German flying wing. Pretty cool looking. Would it actually work with the downward tips? Never tried the twin motors either.

It may have cg issues with the engines that far back. But the sides should be ok. There is a tail in front of the engines so there's more surface area. Be interesting to try

I am guessing we are watching the same showing right now...

I haven't posted on here in quite some time, as soon as I saw Raiders, with the wing scene, was going to make a new thread, then I saw this one.

I happened to find some initial sketches for the Raiders wing.. Love to see if it is flyable.

I think this is about as close as you're going to get to this plane:

It would look pretty cool, minus the swastikas. I am a white guy with a shaved head. Pretty sure I wouldn't make a lot of friends flying this with its original decals. Well, not any friends I would want. Right, JMD?!. I think it could work. It is basically a Popwing with twin motors and machine gun pods. The down swept wing tips I think would be the issue. Annhedral? I think...it is called.

Heh....yeah you wouldn't! Your pop wing comment I think it right on....I'd use one as a base to try it out....add the twin motor pods and glue on some anhedral tips.....I know one of those you could buy cheap

As usual f-w you have hit the nail on the head. Stability might be a bit of a problem. I do hope you are going on to be some sort of engineer - you have a natural affinity for the subject.

Easy to compensate for. Move the battery to the nose in the middle to balance out the CG.

the pop wings aleady have the battery in the nose and in the middle..small slot though...cutting it open to put a larger battery in there will help...
