I hear ya Jeff, well Chas is gonna have to figger it out with the trial and error method, . I hope he doesn't destroy his plane in the process.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

This is what I have come up with!! The CG is 6.5 inches forward of the propeller slot and the battery is slid forward so that the tip of the battery is perfectly even with the front of the nacelles. Exactly where the nose flares out( 9 3/4 inches from the nose tip) is the leading edge of the battery. The battery is 1800 Mah (218 gms) Flies like a dream and balances well. My learning curve on this turned into a circle!!!haha. The plane looks horrible now but is the best plane in rough wind I have flown. My love affair with the MIg29V1 is undaunted in spite of the performance of the F-22. It is becoming increasingly evident that the Mig29 will be the best over-all plane I have in my squadron (what is left of it) haha Thank you and Jeff for your encouragement and not making me feel more foolish than I already do!! chas

This is great news Chas. I'm glad to hear you finally got it sorted out! Perfectly balanced and looking great in the air. Have fun with it.

Something still doesn't make sense, if the mark is 3.25" from the wing and Chas went 3.25" infront of the prop slot he should have been nose heavy.
Jeff, here is a picture of what I came up with. The only thing that might be different is that I have a KF2 foil but that should not make a whole lot of difference. Anyway,,, after digging my F22 out of the cacti and Holythorn for the 4th time I think I have it. It is a whole lot of fun to fly and is super stable especially in this wind. I am not any longer dreading the forecast....I am just heading out and having fun!!Thanx for your help! chas

The quick scaling I did off the RC Groups picture is different or maybe just the angle it was sitting. Yes if you had the battery 3.25" infront of the prop slot , yikes another 3" to go before the cg but by rights with the cg mark back that far you would have been moving the battery towards the back not to the front.

I am glad it is flying good.
