Anyone else found the SU34's really like to be nose heavy?
Maiden was a bit hairy as CofG was a bit too neutral and ended up high alpha landing
Three more flight nose heavy flies and tracks like a dream
Very quiet with the BR2218 1400kv and 8x6 WSF
@8-10 min flights

Some people like to fly tail heavy with these 3d type planes.
I would trim the plane which feels best to your own requirements.
I usually get the CG in the ball park area and then move the battery around to how I feel comfortable.
If I am flying a park jet in windy conditions I go nose heavy.
You will find a nose heavy plane will feel more stable compared to tail heavy, but may show a slight reluctance to loop quickly.
Nose heavy is only a real problem if it wants to nose in, with slight nose heavy you can just trim some up elevator in.
Wot, no Depron?

Was wondering with the canards (mine are always double thickness) are contributing to the "percieved " tail heavy and maybe a bit of thrust line
But all my SU's have flown heaps better nose heavy

Set it up nose heavy and don`t worry too much about it

Loops really well off very little throws
Really quiet with BR 2216 and 8x6 WSF paddle prop
8-10 min flights no worries
The first flight was straight high alpha thought I was going to loose it
Got it to power out get some airspeed and a fast landing with only a dirt badge on its nose
Battery as far forward as possible hey presto
Going to put magnets on the battery hatch as it keeps popping up in flight and acting like an airbrake
Still two thumbs up to Dave and Scott
Great plane
