Well i been in the market or looking last little while for a well rounded middle of the pack controller plus rec package
and there are pretty neat stuff out there
I like the Taranis x9d but appears when looking at the combo package your into it for over 330 Canadian that is just radio n receiver

Maybe someone can correct me . for taranis you still need to buy air speed , temp modules correct so that will even add up more

when i look at the Qx7 this again is a decent controller but when you read the fine lines its also missing parts, of course that is how they make money on the add on's plus plus $$ etc. charger battery etc
but even they do not come with complete combo package . but still 160 Canadian.

As of late i been looking at the flysky is10 and really starting to like it its sleek body design not to bulky comes in a package rec as well as all modules air speed , temp etc for 244 Canadian

I think th is10 might be my best option

Anythoughts ppl

Same here... I moved into my new taranis two years ago and never looked back.

It does require a little thought into developing your first couple of templates but once you get the gist to what programming is.... its simple really and makes more sense.

This year I did upgrade to the m9 hall effect gimbals and that was a nice improvement.

That was why I offered up the link to housrc.com. you can buy just the radio alone or any combo you want.

Telemetry built in will return RSSI (radio signal strength indicator) values and be can configured in as an alarm....ie: going out of range.

The rest will require that you buy sensors to attach for whatever logging you may be looking for. Sensors are cheep and easy. A simple analog lipo sensor will cost 2.95. The x-bus (inteligent) lipo sensor cost only about 8 bux a pop.

Otherwise sensors like barometer.. air speed .. GPS... cost around 15 - 35 bux for the more critical ones. Still very affordable.

I have no experience with the FlySky products I'm sorry that I am of little help there.

Others online here use their products regularly and have been very happy with them.

Bimo uses the i10 and I think Jeff does, they are good but the sensible money is on the Taranis considering your F16 build and all the opensource programming available.
