Just cheap junk servos, I don't like the Tower ones myself. I think out of 12 I had 4 fail, 2 were in the plane already. 1 got hot enough that the hotglue let go so it was an easy removal. . I test all my servos before installing them now even if they are new.

Yeah, sounds like a duff servo. The problem with tower pro is that there are two different quality specs.
One for home market(China) and one for export and the crumby home market ones escape via ebay or Aliexpress. There are also clones of tower pro that have only two screws in the bottom and these are really crap. If they work they never center properly.
In future try to avoid tower pro and pay a bit more for emax from Banggood or Gearbest, you won`t regret it and you will need more precision as you fly faster.
Wot, no Depron?

It is a very good idea to test the servos before installing them and to center them as it makes it easier for rigging.

I threw all my mini/micro TowerPro servos away.
Lost a lot of parkjets using TowerPro servos.
I use Emax and Hobbyking HXT-90 servos with no issues.

That's about the same with me plus I have used their Turnigy TG90 ones with no issues. I use to bring in the Turnigy ones because you could get them with the extended leads and save using extra extensions.

Centering?
Some people center their servos with a servo tester, but I have found that the center for testers and transmitter are different.
To center servo put the trims on neutral in your tranny and plug them into the receiver power up and they will center themselves, then you can put the servo arms on without moving the servo drive and you are then ready to rig your planes more accurately. Don`t just trust the servos come centered from the factory.
All the best, BB56.
