20180101_111018-1.jpg  Feels like years since i posted here! Oi.. life!

My 1st build is prob 18 months. The V1 Mig29 slightly modified to suit my corro build method.. and LEF's thrown into the deal.

Construction is all 2mm corro with some strategic carbon tubing shoved thru the flutes.

All-up weight with 1300 3cel is 385g. Feels good.. looks good. So maiden shortly.

... sounds like a keeper.

I would agree she needs some color.

I envy you right now looking at green grass. It's turned bitter cold here in the US Midwest.

.... it's a painful cold out there right now.
Fly like your mad at it.

That looks really good for just being from corro, did you scale it down at all?

Thanx for the compliment W/T.

Nope. She's supposed to be 100%. But i think there may just be s slight variance in size as my A4 prints only had the border cut lines on 2 sides. It took some creative alignment to get the tiles together.

Thanx Tom. Yup.. nice and green atm. We had a LOT of rain lately but strangely cool at times. Sadly, the south of South Africa (Cape Town) is horribly dry with severe water restrictions.

FED50H made a V1 out of Coro years ago..it flew very well and was tough as hell. Lost some of its floatyness from a foam version...and you had to be careful about energy preservation when down low. But was a very cool plane to fly. Nice to see someone else trying it out!

I'm an R/C Junkie! 40+ planes - 12 Heli's - 6 multirotors - and ground vehicles galore! I've got issues.

Thanx Dan. I try to keep weight down as much as possible. Using 2mm corro and minimal hardware. At 385g i think its almost as good as foam.

The coro is good stuff...I had a mugi evo (wing) and made a profile F117 (mikeyrc). Both were great. Durable and fast. I would slide skewers into the flutes, then seal both ends with hot glue. Very sturdy and cheap. The F117 looked very cool in the air, but the mugi was so efficient. Not trying to hijack your thread...but coro is a great build material that is different from foam. One of the reasons for the forum...sharing and keeping it interesting for builders. The mugi was a UK design...It was hard to balance...i kept adding air gun nails to the nose cone...once balanced though...she was a performer...makes me want to build another...
