Yea thats the plan 3mm high tensile mountain bike spokes
set up my F117  and one side floppity flop  seems one rod was mild the other case hardened both were 
2mm so wait till lockdown over and get some 3mm HT spokes from the bike shop

Hi sidewayskiwi, have you seen to cable tie standoff hack to take out the flop on your linkages? I use it quite a bit when I don't have decent wire to make linkages.  From another kiwi

I don't think I'm familiar with that. How does it work?

15866418253296394279073122007978.jpg just loop the cable tie around the linkage then push it into the foam and secure at correct length with hot glue. I use it alot, it's amazing how much rigidity it will add. I got the idea from a FT video, thanks Josh Bixler

Yes and I use it on longer runs 
F117 has a different style ( you can see these on the YouTube vids on the RCPOWERS F117 V2)
The control rods are used more as a torsion rod -- hence my problem 
The control rods are used in a twisting nature not a push/pull as per usual system
