At the very least get some black or yellow stripes on the underneath, this should help.

You have been given a very sound advice by bogusbandit56:
"At the very least get some black or yellow stripes on the underneath, this should help."

It takes no time to stick a wide black stripe under one of the wings, it is a standard practice on all my planes before first flight, I also stick my phone number and thanks on the top of the plane.

Cheers.

That happens to me and I have almost given up on making my planes look nice.
I used coloured packing tape and used the minimum.
It seems the more I put into painting a plane the quicker and nastier it crashes.
Once I have applied the tape I run a warm iron over it to shrink the wrinkles and make it stick like s*** to a blanket. The shrinking adds a little torsional rigidity as well as holding all the pieces together if you do prang it.

And dont forget to do your CHECKLIST!!! Argh!! It doesnt take long- but it helps you catch oh lets say- reversed servos!! D'oh!! Yeah, i took off this morning, NOT doing my normal everytime checklist- cause i didnt change anything so it must be right. Wrong- i threw my plane into the air, gave it some throttle, & turned the plane to the left. Except my plane went right. And down. And now i have a plane thats cracked in half. I could have saved 2 hours w/2 minutes of checking! Anyways- lesson learned. Again. Have a great & safe weekend all!

It`s amazing how far out of trim planes can get when they haven`t been flown for a month or two.
I`m still trying to figure this one out.

And pay attention to what direction they are going, not just that they are moving. One of mine the ailerons were going left and the elevons right.

This happens to lot`s of folk. I wonder if it`s when you are setting up another model and inadvertently alter another?
