This was my first flight with the 808 #16 V2 keychain camera with the D lens. These were two separate similar flights that I edited together just to see what it might look like. I stopped using the camera for awhile and the battery ended up dieing. I eventually got a replacement off eBay and years later it's still working.

Is the onboard video just extremely out of sync or are those separate flights altogether? If it's the latter, I suggest not putting separate flights picture in picture coz that's really confusing.

I searched my box and found an old early 808 that still seems to work !   I also dug out my old Helmetcam ... its one of the early ones with stretch head band to put round a cycle helmet.

Here's a part of my collection built up over years ....

Sorry about doubled photo - but I forgot to add in the X1 ...

Notes :
[th_early%20808_zpsh2jg1fhh]
808 is OK and being low profile good for onboard use.

[th_two%20versions%20MD80_zpso7av1fzj]
MD80 is a bag of **** ... tried two versions and neither are worth bothering with.

[th_X1%201080_zpsmc65fvuw]
X1 is OK ... basically same as Sportcam but in much smaller case .. bit confusing to use though.

[Spycam_zpstxxemqdb]
Mini Spycam is similar to X1 - very poor battery

[th_1080%20Sportcam_zpswa2aogsu]
Sportcam 1080 has strange audio background noise - I have two, one with zoom and both same. Extrapolated video gives average results.

[th_4K%20Sportcam_zpstqukdq94]
Sportcam 4K is a waste of money - yes it does record 4K  but FoV is wide angle and the sound does not stay synched when you edit. Poor battery life using same as 1080 version

[th_Helmet%20cam%20with%20band_zpstkjgeeot]
Helmet Cam - with rubber helmet band has LED (laser) pointer to aim the camera .. apart from its size - it is an early one ... its actually not bad. Video is of course not as good as more modern higher res gear. But at least you have chance to aim by that LED ..

[th_GoPro%20Hero%204_zpsvt3z5g0x]
GoPro 4 - this has to be one of the worst waste of money going ... if you use its WiFi functions etc. - the battery dies quickly. No rear screen for checking. LCD cannot be read easily. Wide angle FoV which I detest !

[th_Sunglass%20cam_zpsvozhxiut]
Sunglass Cam ... this is actually not bad - but as a spectacle wearer - not easy for me. I place over top of my normal glasses but they do not sit properly. Would be OK for someone without glasses. These are the older 720 version.

I have others ... Sony Handycam 8mm which I love for its zoom. Fuji Digi SLR with screen and eyeviewer. Soloshot 3 (two) ... load of 808's that just failed after a month or so ...

I have the Quanum Elite 600mWH AV Tx and Camera (two) which allied with AV Rx adaptor to a tablet (Android) - I am thinking to experiment with.
I'll fly anything if I can launch it ! Youtube : solentlifeuk

The GoPro 4 came with hard case that soft case fits into ... selfie stick ... waterproof cover .. all sorts of additions and extras ... my business partner bought it for skiing but never used it. Must have been over $500 worth at least ... plus the Remuvu and WiFi controllers.

He knew I was into RC and videoing flights .. so just handed it all to me one day free of charge.

Just a pity that its not very good !! No wonder GoPro quickly came out with a new model.

If I did not wear glasses - I have to be honest and say - I would stick with the Sunglass Camera even though its only 720. You can get better now with 1080 or 4K if you have the money. Why ? Its the framing of shot - with hatcams / helmetcams - you are always at mercy of it not being aimed correctly. I tried sorting with the WiFi enabled versions - but try looking at a tablet to see the frame while trying to keep head up aimed ... PITA !! Plus the WiFi function sucks life out of battery.

For onboard - if you don't need remote video ... the 808 is best IMHO ... because it sits low ...

I clearly stated in my post they were two separate flights. I had just received the key chain camera and it was an exercise to see what it might look like if I had a  second camera. If you read the video description on YouTube it goes  into more detail and mentions how I was testing some new PIP software as well during the editing process. I wanted to see what that might look like as well.

Sorry for the confusion

My bad, I didn't notice there was text beneath the video.

Probably ... I know odd vids of mine have come up as private on forums even though saved as Public ..

Never really looked into it .. I assumed Private meant not to be linked or viewed outside YT .. cannot really see point of uploading to YT if I'm the only one who can see it ... may as well just leave it on a cd or PC ?

Private means only those you have invited can view the video.  They have to have a google account.

Unlisted means it won't show up in search or recommendations but anyone with the link can watch it.

Then you can do things like prevent embedding so they have to watch on youtube, linking it here wouldn't work.

Of course, anything you post online can simply be copied and re-uploaded if someone so choose so never put something up you aren't wiling to share.
