Hi folks, what a crazy few days I have had,i flew [ accidentally ] my twinstar 2 into a tree on Saturday evening, the plane sat 50ft high in the tree,my neighbours and I tried using ladders, fishing rod and line, and bamboo cane to dislodge the plane but no joy,my daughter suggested asking on fbk if anybody was good at climbing trees to rescue a plane on Monday night and within minutes a 20 year old tree surgeon offered to do it,he came this afternoon [ Tuesday ] and went up the tree like a ferret ha,,he then shouted that he had to throw the plane out of the tree as it was too big to carry down,he then threw the plane and it dive bombed 50ft nose first into the ground,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,That very same plane is now sat in my front room with no frontal damage, the fpv antenna snapped off at the joint in the impact and yet the front end of the foam plane is fine, there is damage to other parts of the plane ie aileron and elevator clevis were ripped out but the front end is undamaged.Am now debating whether to rebuild with new airframe or repair this one,,,,,the Multiplex Twinstar 2 is one tough cookie !
