And how long would a 2200mah battery take to charge with cell balancing at 1.2A
How long will a 1600 mah battery take to charge up with the same setup but with 1.0A??

2200mah is the same as 2.2 amp hours, I never charge my LiPos at more than half of their capacity, for this battery, 1.1 amps. Useing this rule, most batteries will take about 2 hours to charge. Go 10% under for max; 2 amps is the maximum charge rate for this battery, but this will shorten the batteries life. The 1.2 amps you are useing is OK

Use .8 amps for a 1600mah. This will also take about 2 hours.

The battery is finished charging when it swells up and starts smoking,,, just kidding.
To know when it is finished, read you charger's manual. Normally the charger's red light turns green when it is done, or the display tells you.

even those lipos that say it is safe to charge at 5c have one assume that it will not affect longevity. well, my poor turnigy nanotechs suffered with my 2c charge rates. them puppies are toast. they can not even power my lightest plane to flying. took a little less than a year to turn them into paper weights or smoke bombs. if they were smaller, i would have turned them into tx packs.

good thing it was only 2 lipo packs i did it with.
Nothing said I had to crash
