Maestro
Maidend my $60 spitfire last Monday.

Wind was 16-20 mph so it was less then ideal but just had to do it.

It like this plane, a nice size, easy for transport and makes a nice easy flyer.

Have replaced the spinner after the maiden.

For 60 bucks this is great fun.

More videos will follow after some calm weather.

Nice! [S]didn't you say in some earlier post in another thread you ripped off the undercarriage?[/S]

EDIT: Nope, that was some other plane: http://www.rcpowers.com/community/threads/mig-29-easybuild-v2.12400/page-41#post-175531
My avatar is what I look like after a "landing"...

Haha.. I will get the video of that online this evening..

Have ordered a new set of that landing gear.

When I get that I will build a plane and specially reinforce that area.

Hobbyking have been going on about them releasing a new large foam Spitfire for a while now .The unmistakable elliptical wing can only belong to one aircraft. The Spitfire! Arguably one of the most recognizable war birds of its time .

How does it fly compared to a warbird?

If you were inside your plane... You would never crash.

I think you mean compared to a parkjet?

I found the transition from parkjet to warbird easy. My buddy superfpv has a beaten up p-51 on which I already did some flying which was quite easy.

It is different, I find that as long as you keep like 50% throttle it flies easy, gently going into turns, just like a real plane.

It may not be as spectacular as you're f22 with tv mount but it is really great flying something sort of scale which looks nice. They are almost completely still and when it passes you hear a nice zoom sounds by the prop.

Hope this sort of answers you're question..

New video, yesterday was a nice calm morning. almost no wind and overcast.

This spitfire flies nice but i have to get used to using rudder for landings.

I am training my landings so mayhem guaranteed.

A nice little spit you've got hold of Masero! is it sensitive to tip stall? And which engine do you use?.

It's the spitfire from hobbyking.. ARF so only a tx and lipo we're needed.

Standard motor, do not exactly know which one. I swapped the spinner and prop for a proper balanced set which made a difference in power!

Tip stalling is not bad, need to keep some speed but I have not found any problems with it..
