IMG_20180514_181808.jpg  made a bet with myself
Make a 3D profile out of Hobbyking foam
This is the amount of carbon I used to stiffen it
Airframe lasted --oooo- first manoeuvre and disintegrated

Did I win the bet or lose it

Use it for kf's and or skins where it's not part of the structure.

If your main wingplate is reinforced you should be good.

I had mixed results with the hobbyking foam and I still have a fair few sheets left as I switched back to depron after a few attempts at building with it as I found it massively brittle and very easy to crack or split when you didn't want it to.

That said, a lot of my GeeBee is made from it, but then again it's been re-enforced quite a lot so hard to compare it really but it doesn't like hangar rash at all!
Have used it for KF2's though and it seems ok with that and it sands pretty well too.
Whoever said nothing is impossible had obviously never tried slamming a revolving door...
