Hello!
My scratchbuilding experience wasnt as smooth as I'd like it to be, so I decided to buy a PNF Bixler 3 to learn to fly (what I probably should have done in the first place).
Hobbyking offers free shipping over 150 usd, which means I would be better off adding something to the cart instead of paying that cash for shipping.
It seems like adding a 3D plane is a good investment, but I dont know what's better.
The Galaxy is regular foam and the Volador is EPP.
Galaxy should be more rigid at the same weight, but less crash resistant. It also comes with the motor and a prop.
Should I get the Galaxy or the Volador? and if the Volador, what other components should I order with it?

I'd appreciate any answer.

Are you just learning to fly?

Yes, I'm buying the Bixler 3 anyway, just want some advice on what 3D plane would be better to add now and fly after I get the hang out of the Bixler.

If you are just starting to learn how to fly I don't think you would want to step into a 3D plane right off the bat. I would recommend learning the scratch building because when you crash and you will it is cheaper to fix or replace. I have a few years of flying now and I still do stupid things and crash and if these were store bought planes I probably wouldn't be flying very much if at all.

I don't have any store bought planes so I can't help you on your choices.

I understand, but what I'm saying is if I buy just the Bixler 3 PNF, it's gonna cost me 140 usd for the plane and shipping alone. I have an option to add 33 usd worth of free stuff and I want to use it.
I'm not going to try and build the 3D plane one flight after the bixler, but I want to have it lying somewhere in the house.

Go for the Volador. EPP bounces, Depron shatters. You'll only get one good crash with the Galaxy, the Volador you'll be judging them for style.
