Hi all, has anyone used a heat gun to bend the fanfold foam board? If so, how did it turn out?

I use my hair dryer on Model plane foam and from what I hear fanfold is even flimsier, test it an a scrap peice first always before doing a part that you have cut and prepaired .

@Nakul has a lot of experience with that technique here on forum. May be he can chime in on some hot tips!

To make ducting for my EDF's (4 in dia) I use the hot water pipe(200F) for heating the house and it is no trouble for the FFF. I also use the 1 inch pipe to bend Depron as well.

Found it has to be close to the 200 degree to bend it without cracking. That way, long lengths can be done to shape what ever you want.
I like to design and fly unique planes.

I've often thought a baseboard heater would work reasonably well for this application.

I have a Milwaukee and it's waaay to much , The foam is laying there one second, curled up and gone the next. Massaging works good also. But any real tight work does require a little extra help with heat.
