Today i finally got to fly again went good until i couldn't see anymore the sun was in my eye and the first loop was not done by me then in the second flight i spiraled down and almost lost my plane on the roof of a building. Then on my last flight which lasted 30 sec the wind picked up again and i didn't want to push my luck so i packed up and left hopefully the high wind advisory goes away by tonight.
Landing is just a controlled crash:yes:.

hehe the hawk sky is just such a funny plane to fly
how ever I have reckoned that this self-stabilzing makes it somewhat jumpy on camera. The video footage of my f-22 flight looked much more stable
look on my video page (http://vimeo.com/jfrank) for some samples of my flying (by the way with the same camera)

Hey great flying! Your turns are getting a lot better

I almost had a heart attack when you went into that 'death spiral' and almost hit that roof, .

With the amount of lift the Hawk Sky has, I would recommend cutting the throttle all the way when you're coming in to land, it'll still glide forever and you're less likely to damage the plane.
A couple more flights and you'll feel a lot more confident and won't be jittery any more, that's when it becomes even more fun to fly

Excellent job man!

Looks like there is a lot of tip stalling going on, thats where your wing stalls and then does that familiar death spiral or wings over really hard. As you get better flying it these will become less frequent. If you look up videos from pecan grower he has a few beginner ones that you might find helpful.

Good luck!

Remember I said I was going to teach my friend how to fly too. Well I taught him this weekend and amazingly, he did not crash at all. I even had him launch it and land it on the second flight and both went very well. However, we had NO wind and it looks like you had some so your conditions were a bit worse. Keep flyin, you'll be an ace in no time. Try to keep your flying simple for now, stay level and go smooth. Test out the glide when you are high up but keep it under control
