Halloa RC people 🙂

got me yet another FPV quad in the other day.. A 4" quad this time.. Did we need that?? 4" quads??
The concept here is these should be the biggest quads we can keep under 250 grams AUW (?) And they should be a bit more efficient then 3" quads....

Link to this GepRC: GepRC 4" Dolphin, PNP or BNF

So this will be a 2-stage rocket.. This first part is NOT super duper positive...

but.. all is well that ends well I guess 😉
I should add that I don't really believe the 20A rating of the ESC's.. I'd classify them as 12A..

I have seen much the same in the reviews with this same quad. It is very fast and lightweight out of the box but not as efficient as it could be amongst other things (along that line of comment). Most everyone recommend if you want to stay lightweight just stay with a 3" since the science is rather well established a that scale already.

Everyone I've seen also recommended moving to a different propeller. You lose a little speed but it does fly much more stable and offers a little more battery life under load.

Go figure huh... Excellent review Dutch.  I can see you still have have mixed feelings on this one. Is it a keeper or do you plan to move onto something else ?
Fly like your mad at it.

Hmmm my findings are a Little different, as I wasn't impressed with it's speed.. Then again maybe I'm just spoiled? 😉
Also most of my 3" quads are (indeed) quite a bit faster.. BUT the flight time of this GepRC is long..

Soooo I will at least try 1 other RTF, and maybe build one myself 🙂
