She sits there half built but workshop has not been completed and is cold !

Weather is awful .....

Question crossed my mind other day ... if you use the typical 2200kv Turnigy 2826 on 2S with 8" props ?? I have a few sitting idle ad might save me buying in more motors ...

I use a rough and ready calc .... (keeping pitch same)

KV x Cell S number x prop diam

ie : 2200kv x 3S x 6 = 39600 which is the factor for typical prop slot 6x4 on 2200kv motor.

So now 2200kx x 2S x 8 = 35200 being new factor with 8" prop .... and looks as though I can allow an increase to maybe 5" pitch ?

F1wannabe has successfully ran 2s setups on their jets quite a few times...if I remember, he has ran 8x3.8 and 7x5....same motors...you should be fine, as I doubt your gonna be flying wide open throttle for super long periods of time.

I tested and fly mine on those motors on both 2s and 3s 8x4x3 props. 2s give great scale look!

Guys ... I have watched the vids and its great seeing it on 2S and 3S ...

My post was more about the use of the 2200kv motors and being able to use much larger prop than would normally be mounted ... trying to save a few pennies !!

Ah ok, I had the 2200kv motors on mine but 8x4x3 was the biggest I went with. My motors are these ones. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/d2826-6-2200kv-outrunner-motor.html?___store=en_us

I have the 2200kv 2826-6 HK ones as well as the Banggood ones of similar specs ..

I know what you are saying, my garage is very cold, can't be in it for long. I've got a balsa l4 cub half built that I'm trying to finish. I've been mostly passing the time by 3d printing etc

All the electric cables have been led to the garage / workshop and I did a jury rig connection at the house so I could have an extension lead at least for battery charger .... hot glue gun etc. But it needs proper connection at house consumer box ... after putting cables / sockets in place in the building.

Some know I was a bit over the top in design !!

Its 2 + 1/2 floors at 12m x 7m square .....

Just ordered from Banggood ... four 2212 1400kv motors and four 30A ESC's ... they are linear BEC's so they can all be connected giving me redundancy on BEC's

Electrician has produced schematics for the garage / workshop / bar ... so hopefully that will be done next week or so.

Then when my slow boat from China arrives with the bits .. I can get the Lanc finished.
