Have you decided if you were going to stay with fr-os or flash opentx ?

With either os the first thing you do is charge it to full, (the charger light goes off) then calibrate the radio and internal battery values, and set those alarm points.

There are a ton of examples on YouTube. Learn to navigate the box and menus by just scrolling around and look at things.

Then launch the wizard to setup a basic aircraft. The rest is just fine tuning from there.

I can help with an aircraft setup if you get hung up.

I can point you to an affordable method to use spektrum protocol if you have any rtf type planes you want to bind up.

This is all that's left of my old DX-6i.
...and it's working better than it ever did in its native form.

I am still considering upgrading to the x10s but it doesn't come with any real practical reason other than,

.... i want one

I have the rev b original taranis (plus (not)). Last winter i replaced the gimbals with the m9 hall effect diode type. This literally give me a new radio again and thus decided i should keep it in active duty a litte longer.

I have never experienced a single glitch or brown out with running frsky. This truly is a seriously well locked in system and am confident won't be disappointed.

Rx included ? X8R ?

If you have a brand new one you don't need a second. You haven't learned how to use it yet, wait until you master it and then say I need to upgrade but why have 2 of the same one?

I here what your saying but think of it this way when you come to edmonton i can throw you a plane and transmitter and we can head to Edmontons field for some war games For the price its just good idea i think i mean now to make couple prop pushers and when some company does come over it be more fun allowing them to have a go rather then watch you fly is all .
you not going to get or find deals and 150 to have even a back up is not a bad idea which ever way you look at it

The new one will be my main flyer the other one for sim practicing but 150 for X9D is a steal just look at RC groups there asking that min 150 + and in US prices i mean it be like 120 us it be sold in mins on RCG if i posted it not including postage

Guys, i received my Q X7 recently and in love with this radio. I even ordered their S6R receiver with built in stabilisation, 3 axis gyro with Auto level, stabilisation, Knife Edge & 3d hover modes haha, only the first 2 for parkjets anyways

The programming options on open tx are endless, i have set all kinds of voice commands programmed 3 position flaps, mixes, and what not. OMG its endless what you can do with open tx. i also ordered the Rx8r receiver. Love the simplicity and my white one looks so sick!!
