I came upon this F-100 at the GRISSOM AFB Museum in Indiana. Her flight log says that for awhile she was flown by Neil Armstrong. I was surprised at how small an F-100 is.NA F-100 @GAFB MUSEUM.jpg

It's been a sad day at the "Five Easy Piece" Hangar. The new F-100 was bit by a tall Oak tree Saturday.
Chewed her right wing almost completely off were it not for her 6mm Carbon tube.
My spotter and I didn't think she was that far away and then she ripped through the tree beyond the crest to of the landfill. She was recovered about twenty feet up in a Sassafras tree that she rolled down into after striking the Oak tree branch. MIA is my third Mobious camera which was attached to her canopy. I was checking out the carbon reinforcement of her tail. I walked the crash area again today but no camera. Must still be caught up high in the canopy of trees.
She will be fixed and flown again soon. So stay tuned.

Hi Bob,
I lost my mobius in long grass at the flying field when one of my planes came to earth rather more rapidly than I usually like.
I noticed the camera had come off and conducted a finger tip search to no avail.
I marked the spot with a stick and went back the next day with my metal detector and found the mobius within 20 seconds, I was almost kneeling on it when I was searching the day before.
The camera had continued to record into the night until the battery was exhausted.
No damage to camera or battery glad to say.
Wot, no Depron?

Oak trees should be outlawed,.. that’s all I’m saying,.. just saying.
And on the 8th day God said: "Go NAVY",.. and it was good! Pray like everything depends on God. Prepare like everything depends on you.

I would blame it on the spotter.

Yeah Wild, it’s hard to find a decent spectator these days much less a good spotter that works cheap.

Out flying my 5EZP F-100 v2 with her new an improved dorsal air intake.
I mounted my GOPRO Cube on the open tail-gate of my RAV for a different perspective as well as the GOPRO HERO on my head strap.
You can see how close in I fly the Hun.

Its the same as I previously quoted intros build thread.
