JackK, sorry I misunderstood. All I can suggest is try a few small pieces. And see for yourself.

The weight on my F-35 is 800grams w a 2200mAh 3S battery. I have a 2200KV motor on it and I use a 6X4 prop. I might move up to a 2700Kv sometime to give it a bit more zip. but it does fly well as is.

So I build a replacement....finally...for the F35 V2. This time I used the F35 V3 and used the dollar tree foam. Has anyone built this one using the dollar tree foam? I left the paper on and when I was done and have all electronics installed, including batttery, it felt so much heavier than the previous one that was made from the pink insulation foam. I haven't had a chance to weigh it to see the difference. I was a bit scared to actually try to fly it due to me thinking it was going

Not the greatest pic, but here is the F35 V3 utilizing dollar tree foam

just for fun, I built this but have yet to try it out....

Butch -

According to this thread, the F-35 V3 has been discontinued https://www.rcpowers.com/community/threads/f-35-v3-the-%E2%80%9Cscale-trainer%E2%80%9D.15554/, however, I'm sure if you contact Shannon she might be able to help you. On the attached planview file that came with my F-35 V3 plans, the CG is shown where indicated on these diagrams.

Good luck.

Cheers,

Scott
