Looks great, Millergren! I need color on top for orientation as well, especially in the snow.  Love that last pic!

Hi Everyone -

Had my F-22 V5 out for some much needed Raptor Rippin' to get rid of a few months of hangar dust😎

Hi Everyone -

You guessed it, a bit more Raptor Rippin' today, this time on 4S with a 5" 3 blade carbon prop😎  The whine might make your dog howl, for some reason it is really pronounced in this plane, maybe the DTF amplifies the sound even more😉

Hi Everyone -

Not exactly how this plane should look😳  A few flights after the one in the previous post I "zigged when I should have zagged" and dumb thumbed it into the ground at a rather significant rate of knots🙁

I took a few days to just let it sit before considering my next step and I think I will actually build another from scratch using the components from this one (had over 200 flts on this plane and loved it, but it doesn't owe me anything).  Depending on how the F18 V3 project I am working on currently where I am modifying and building the plane from the ground up to optimally use a single quad motor with a 5" 3 blade prop, I will probably downsize the F22 V5 as well to run the same setup, should be a bit lighter, smaller and hopefully even a little quicker as it will have the same power setup as the one above.😎

That project won't be undertaken for awhile yet, but I will share build ideas and build log when I get to that point.  My favorite plane of the V5 lineup, I need to have one in my hangar before too much longer!

Hi Jim -

I suppose if I tempt fate  and push the envelope hard enough and long enough, it is bound to happen🙂  I am actually excited about building another one a bit smaller and quicker, should be fun.
