I find my f-16 with 4x4 set-up and std size control surfaces inadequate at slow speeds. I add 3/4 inch more to the elevator surfaces and it becomes very easy to manuver at low speeds and super quick at high speed. Does anyone have a similar experience ??? Any other suggestions ???

It might have something to do with your transmitter or rates.
Are you using a Spektrum DX5E by any chance? They have hardly any movement at all and they are slow.
Wot, no Depron?

RCP V5 F-16 I like to fly in a realistic style and high speed acrobatics. My problem is with slow speed landings in a small landing area. Adding surface to the elevators helped slow speed control but for some flyers this might be too much in high speed , just use the dual rates to fine your comfort zone. Thanks

I have an FrSky Taranis I use the 3 position rates @ 50-75-100% to adjust in flight control. These rate allows me to select the control throw for any flight situation. The 100% rate at full throttle may too much for some flyers. I use 50 and 75 % rates in slow flight to help new flyers transition from gliders to jets
