...Never heard of them...neither has Matt Chaplin, the best aerobatic pilot in the world....

Very cool collage, you are a very lucky member of a very select group of people, many people would kill to be in your place, don't you ever forget that and throw it away.

I am not an alumni of Embry but did attend a flight collage near pittsburgh. Embry is a great school. You will learn how to live and breath aviation and trust me it will be fantastic. Congrats!

tri- props are known around here as less efficient than 2 bladed props, so why are they being used on little experimentals/ contest planes like that little sweety?

No not really, I graduated with an Aero engineering degree in 1962 when it was located in Miami. Help put the Americans on the moon doing design work on the heat shield and then later doing design work on gaseous lasers when they were new to the world. Later on when computers came about, ended up running a system for a town. Graduate with a degree and who knows where you will end up.
I like to design and fly unique planes.

What college is that? I live by Pittsburgh. About 2 hours away. I would like to get started in aviation after high school and I've been looking at some in Pennsylvania. Thanks!
