Hi guys, just saw the news and a quad copter collided with a Blackhawk helicopter at an approximate altitude of 500 feet causing damage to the rotor blade. The pilot managed to land it safely.
So, what do you bet that Congress will pass laws all on account of some irresponsible jack###es ??
Don't paint over your registration numbers folks!
No drones are allowed to fly anywhere in New York City except in city parks.
The headline on Bing reads "If you are missing a drone, the Army has found it,
please come and claim it" , words to that effect !

Umm, only a fool or some idiot would have the "bright" idea of claiming that drone.

But seriously, it will only be a matter of time when they will even require the rest of the hobby and hobbyists of all R/Cers , no matter what it is. I hope it won't happen, but who knows. *eek* :-|

I dunno, maybe some emergency legislation around the bend, you never can tell..
Remember, we will catch all the heat for all of the irresponsible people out there!

One thing I think I've noticed is the damm drones are much easier to learn to fly, compared to winged rc flight. The reason I think this because we have always had dimwitts and crackpots but, we never had this problem before. I think once you paid your crash dues ,you learned some respect for others and your wallet. These drones are really cheap to just get you in the air. Then you get brave and dump some money on all the auto crap. Nough said , end of rant.

People think they are flying but the computer is doing it all.

That's right ,and they're making the damm things cheap enough so kids can jump in without knowing almost anything. Thing is, most of the offenders are not kids. They are the kind that never will grow up,

I guess I'll have to admit that computer has done regular flight some good though. Just look at the stabilizers , and for less than 20 bucks. I've heard a lot of guys cuss them ,but used to start new flyers they'll save a few tears. Set up right you'll gain a few extra seconds to try and correct things. Also great for extreme windy days. All it amounts to is that it thinks faster than you do.

Hi, maybe not "thinks" but perhaps a better word would be "senses things" ?
