How long do you leave the wrapped foam in contact with the tube? How hot is the tube? thanx chas Ps...do you pre-wet the foam?

I can`t tell you,, it depends on the foam and I don`t have any American made foam.
I`m afraid it`s all trial and error.
I have a 150watt tube that`s around 2 feet long.
The good thing about bending on the tube is that the foam does`nt get soft in fact if you just melt the surface a tiny bit it becomes stronger.
The problem with the tube is that you are limited to the radius of bends.

You must look at the diameter of the aircraft and select the pvc that is the same, or close to it. Hard to explain, you have to try it for yourself.
