Can some please help I thought these engines could run at idle without the idle screw?
Little bit confused with that comment .... All wet fuel engines if the throttle arm can return to the permanent stop will NOT run - it basically closes the carb of. The job of the idle screw is to adjust that idle point, but only IF you have another way to stop the motor. All my gasoline and glow motors are set so that full down on throttle stick + throttle switch closes the carb and stops the motor. On gasoline motors of course I also have the ignition switch - but I do not use that to stop except in emergencys as it leaves fuel in the bore etc. The setup is to adjust the servo control rod so that you have nice idle when throttle stick is closed to bottom and throttle switch is still active to allow idle .. probably needs a touch of trim adjustment. To stop the motor - throw the Throttle Switch which should be set to move the servo a touch more to close the carb. Service has just set the engine to shut off with full closed throttle - which is correct.
