Wood dowls are too wide and the really thin ones are to week, the carbon rod used in these parkflyiers are 3mm and are istalled so they are flush with the foam of 6mm thickness.

I use BBQ skewers you can buy at the grocery store. They are close to 3mm...lightweight..and super strong. Plus cheap. They are a good alternative.

If you are using a kf2 or KF4 , do you really need to put these in the wing?

If you are going to fly any bit aggressively I would recommend it.

Something I learned I was wrong on. I though solid CF rods would be stronger flex wise,so used them on the beginning. For Wing spars, use Carbon Tunes instead of rods. lighter, and stronger against flex than the carbon rods. Just a tip. Rods will work though, but tubes are better. At least in my opinion.

Nightswatch builds are fantastic but in a whole different class. I am going to send him a Turnigy 2200kv, 35A esc and a 3S battery and he will have to build around them and make it perform good. None of these twin 90mm edf's on 10S.
