Also diameter of pushrod for extra 300. Thanks

the carbon tubes you use are usually the 3mm tubes with a ID of 1.5mm or so....you buy 2-56 threaded rod and then can cut them and fit them inside the tubes to make your rods...i used a combo of epoxy and/or hot glue and tape to secure the metal pushrod ends into the carbon tube..haven't had one pull out yet....2mm solid rod can work for most large wing bracing..but the 3mm tube works well for it too.

The ones listed in the Master Parts List
will work well for you. There are others that will work well too, but until you have some experience with this type of stuff, sticking to the Master Parts List will save you some headaches.

JMD -

I've made carbon push rods in the past with CA and braided fishing line covered with shrink tubing, on top of various combinations of either Z-bends, or adjustable V- bend's. On the business end I would sometimes use straight .032 wire with Dubro EZ connectors. In an effort to keep the tail of my current build (Mig 29 V2) as light as possible I'd like to try the 3mm carbon tubes you mentioned. I've never used a clevis with 2-56 threaded rod before on control linkage. As far as EZ connectors go, they could possibly be a weak link with these greater park jet speed's outside (i'm not sure).

Are you making them with a Z-bend on one end, and on the other an adjustable clevis on the threaded rod? I don't have any of the details but I wonder if the 12" control rod made from carbon is substantially lighter than the metal one in the Master Parts List?

Thanks.
