Here are some pictures of my 350QX. Loosen off some wing nuts and arms do swing in for transport, I 3D printed the very top lid where the battery goes, allows me a little thicker battery and added a zip tie across the landing gear for extra support on harder landings.

Nice Wild!

She is a Big Ole GIRL!

You still fly it any?

I like these small 200 Class quads because you can fly them in the house but they still have enough power to fly outside.
And on the 8th day God said: "Go NAVY",.. and it was good! Pray like everything depends on God. Prepare like everything depends on you.

I took it out a few times this summer, but ever since building these planes I lost interest in it.

Wild,
I agree, I have several large photography quads and they get a little old fairly quick unless you are working them and then it’s work not fun.

Building these Foamies is just as much fun to build as fly.

I like these 200-Class racing/sport quads for flying in the house and racing with my boys in the front yard but it’s hard to beat building/flying/drilling these Foamies.

Thanks Jett,

I would be a little fearful pushing a bigger 350 class around hard like we do on these smaller dudes but I’m sure you fly it better than I would and more likely with a whole lot more sense .

My Son and I seem to crash and bash these little guys quite often around the house racing but we are definitely acting a fool with them.

It is fun though racing close to the house against somebody with goggles when you can’t get to a large area for more normal fixed wing flying.

I did a range check with the little 25mw Camera Transmitter from the FPV Goggles today and I was surprised how far it would still stream good live video.

I walked about 300 yards from the FPV goggles and the video was still good so I turned around and came back.

Still don’t know what the max range between the two are yet but 300 yards should be more than enough for tooling around in the yard.

The 3 in 1 FPV Cam runs for about 6 minutes on a small 1S 200mah and about 4-5 with a 150mah.

The quad takes a 2S 1000mah max and we use some 900mah which have been giving us about 4-5 minutes of flight time with the old 200qx frame so the single cell camera Battery should be ok, we hope.

Have a good Christmass Jett.

That looks bada** flyby. That canopy is sweet. What's the difference in the weight without the plastic body? I used to have a Blade Chroma, it was fun for awhile and took nice video but I grew uninterested in it just like you and Wild said.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

My 25mw cameras seem to give me about 150 yards of range before break up. I just got a higher quality cam and transmitter to try out when it gets warmer.

150 yards still sounds pretty good to me Jett.

I am using some fairly cheap equipment. I posted the camera specs, here is the goggles we are currently using:

69762A95-C13A-4163-8B4C-F7CA7D7174FF.jpeg

They do work well though so far, although I am still breaking lots of props

Antenna diversity on these goggles seems effective and I still don’t know what the max range is but I doubt much farther than the 300 yards as previously tested.

I deffinately don’t “plan” on flying beyond 150 yards or so but we know sometimes “stuff” happens.

Here’s the specs on the Eachine goggles:

decent setup...

I'm upgrading some of my stuff this year. Got some new higher quality antennas for my ground station. Some backup goggles..and a new Dedicated camera. Once i get it working with one of my FPV transmitters i'm going to setup a moveable "pod" of Camera/TX/Lipo to mount on some aircraft this year coming up. We'll see how it goes.
