Appreciate the list ... but I was thinking more in keeping with the Mossie / Lancaster line-up.
You guys bringing the Mossie and Lanc to life have added models that were 'thin on the ground' .... not exactly that many to buy 'off the shelf' ... and if you could - not cheap !! The Wellington - I have to admit has a special place in my family. As you see from above - Lancaster was special with my Mother ..... but the Wellington was what my Father flew most in WW2. It affected him for all his life, particularly having been on Maltese Convoy flights ... then Italy. He returned to UK to join the massive blanket bomb raids and this led to my parents meeting. The story goes that after bombing ?? city, he was returning to base, but they were diverted due to airfield having been bombed. His aircraft was diverted to 'Strubby' - 619 Lanc base. After landing and debrief - he and rest of crew went to the messhall. There he first saw my Mother, telling the others - She's going out with me tonight' !! Rest is >>>>>>>>>>>> Just a little bit .. My Father always said that there were more crazy stunts in Wimpy's than any other ..... because there was no way to get out of it other than the hatch. They had Axes as per regs on board - to hack out if necessary ... but totally useless with the geodetic structure.
I'll fly anything if I can launch it ! Youtube : solentlifeuk
