And this is my comment to this: Some of the points made this video and the comments made by others make sense as well. But on what evidence or test/research results on or anything related to this topic/subject of R/C vehicles in general? I mean seriously, someone should do testing/experimenting on this (and any said subject) before doing any type of officially making laws/regulations for it. It does not make any sense to have any sort of regulating anything for any reason without doing data or field testing. (food for thought). ^_=

Unfortunately that’s the problem with government overreach. Most governments can and do whatever they wish in the name of “Gove knows what’s better for you” than you do.

We give them all that power over our lives when we let Gove have virtual complete control of our lives in other areas like so-called “free” health care, social welfare, subsidized housing etc and many other things.

That’s government with strong concentrated central power and control in the hands of a few elites while at the sama time giving people the “illusion” and feeling of some semblance of freedom and liberty.
And on the 8th day God said: "Go NAVY",.. and it was good! Pray like everything depends on God. Prepare like everything depends on you.

The FAA has records and data on all kinds of commercial air strikes/collisions, from planes, geese, other birds and RC aircraft.

RC aircraft represent the fewest number of incidents by far but the FAA feels this is the easiest to regulate/prohibit. Harder to make birds listen.

Over regulating Hobby modelers and fliers makes Government feel like they are actually doing something and gives them the “I feel good” sugar rush they so desperately need on a daily basis.

Keep in mind that the enemies of our country are using these cheap quads to carry IED's and POV on our troop movements over in the big sandbox..
Who's to say that the quad that hit the rotor blade of that Blackhawk in Staten Island wasn't just an accident? We need some sort of regulations to keep our hobby safe.. example: What would the traffic accident rate look like without speed limits ? Not all of us have COMMON SENSE....

I'm an Atheist, but... Amen!

Like that one time where I was flying in Bonn's Rhine Park ("Rheinaue", for the other german members on this forum) with very little people around who all saw the plane on final approach and stayed / told their children to stay out of the plane's way except for one unbelievably STOOPID mother who let her child run in front of the plane and STOP THERE! Of course I had to pull up hard to avoid hitting the kid and cracked the plane's wing root doing so. And that STOOPID-ASS MOTHER of that child approached me and said "Couldn't u have STOPPED?"

Yeah, right, I could've activated my non-existent airbrakes and the plane would've stopped on a dime coz air is so terribly dense...

Me thinks we should quit dragging all that weight along and let natural selection do its job again, that would probably solve many problems. Just don't help the stupid, they can either get smart or perish! That way there would be much less stupid ppl to be let loose on humanity as they reach adulthood.
